The
Girl Scout Bronze Award is the
highest award a Junior Girl Scout can earn. It shows girls have
made a promise to help others, improve their community and world, and
become the best they can be.

Girls may work on the award
individually or in a group. All of the requirements for the Bronze
Award must be met before leaving Junior Girl Scouts. However,
earning a Bronze Award is not a pre-requisite for the Girl Scout Silver
Award (for Girl Scouts 11 - 14) or the Girl Scout Gold Award (for Girl
Scouts 14 - 17).
The first three requirements of
the award help girls
build skills and will prepare them for the fourth
requirement, a Girl Scout Bronze Award Project. Girls need to work
closely with their leader or Girl Scout advisor when completing the
requirements. To find out what these requirements are contact our
Program/Service Center to receive a Bronze Award Packet.
Requirements are also found in the Junior Girl Scout Handbook, page 202
or at Girl Scouts of the USA website
www.girlscouts.org (type Bronze Award
in the search box).
When all requirements are
completed bring or mail the Bronze Award Final Report (found in the
Bronze Award packet) to the Program/Service Center in Fayetteville.
All girls who earn the Junior Girl Scout Bronze Award and return the
Final Report by May 2006 will be recognized at the 5th Annual OGCS
Members Recognition Reception held in June.
