 Hello Everyone!

What an exciting year NOARK has planned for the members of OGCS

In the OGCS section of the Green Guide, you will find a variety of workshops, programs and meetings.  Please take advantage of these opportunities.  They are available for you to learn more about what is offered to a Cadette or Senior Girl Scout.  You will also find information regarding the 7th Annual OGCS Recognition Reception where we honor Girl Scout Bronze, Silver & Gold Award recipients, the Girl Scouts - Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas College Scholarship recipient, Graduating Seniors, Leader-In-Training, Program – Aides, and the destinations participants.  The OGCS Recognition Reception is always a great way to celebrate a successful Girl Scout year and to see once again, other Cadettes and Seniors you have met throughout the years.

Please read the information provided about the Girl Scout Silver Award and Girl Scout Gold Award, destinations, and the Older Girl Program Committee.  Each of these will be covered in depth at the new and exciting September Workshop and at the January Mini-Workshop. Please notice that any girl who wants to earn the Girl Scout Silver or Gold Award is required to attend one of the workshops before ever sending in Form 1, the Intent to Earn the Girl Scout Silver or Gold Award.  Also pay attention to the deadlines for the Silver and Gold Award that correspond to being recognized at the 7th Annual OGCS Recognition Reception.

Cadettes, Seniors and Advisors, get ready for a year of endless opportunities in Girl Scouts!  Take advantage of everything you can.  And if there is anything I can assist with along the way, please do not hesitate to contact me.  I’m more than happy to help.

I hope to see so many of you at the OGCS Welcome Party.

Sincerely,

Lani Froelich
